Never thought I'd buy a $17 hoofpick!These had gotten such good reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try when Riding Warehouse had a 20% off sale. Guess there's a reason the cheap ones are cheap: they practically bend in the wind. The Ultimate Hoof Pick is exceptionally sturdy, and I don't see it ever bending. I like the more narrow tip to pop out the little rocks that sometimes get stuck near the white line.
Best you can buyThis is the best hoof pick on the market. I have purchased several over the years and they are all still in regular use.
All others that I have bought or been given have broken or bent. My horses are booted so my picks get used for more than just cleaning. I haven’t had one of these break or bend yet!

Comments: Seriously the best hoof pick ever! My trainer has the original-sized Ultimate Hoof Pick and so I decided to buy my own for my grooming box! RW does not carry the original-sized, but I am happy to have purchased the Jr. because I have better grip with the smaller handle and both the original and the Jr. have the same size pick. Sadly, I now hate using any other hoof pick, especially the cheapo ones that tend to bend or not pick anything out at all. The Ultimate Hoof Pick is definitely worth the $$$!

Comments: This really is the ULTIMATE hoofpick. I admit I wondered if this was really that much better than the $2 hoofpicks, but needed something for the tough cement like mud we get in the winter so gave it a try. I am happy to say it is worth every penny! It's a great size and comfortable to use. I used to spend forever chipping away at the mud that would pack in to my horse's hooves after it rained. I seriously bent more than one hoof pick, and with others my hands would be killing me by the time I got done with just one hoof. Not with this- it gets the job done quickly and with no fuss. I've had more than one person borrow mine and after one use decide they needed one of their own- it really is great!

Comments: My favorite pick ever! I have to keep purchasing these bc they magically disappear at the barn when folks borrow them. This brand came highly recommended by grooms from another barn and the owner at a very pricey tack store. I find the jr is perfect for those with small hands. The larger size is a better fit if you have a large hand. I can now pick feet faster and cleaner than any other pick I have had. Bonus is it gets everything out before your horse gets fussy. I love how solid this is and grip. I won't be using anything else.
