The innovative Toklat T3 Matrix Endurance Sport CoolBack Saddle Pad w/ Ortho-Impact Inserts is specifically designed for endurance competition and performance to offer maximum protection, support and breathability required for intense long distance riding. Features a 1 1/2" bi-level mixture of coolback and woolback fleece lining to establish a close contact feel with your horse, while the non-slip quilt ETC™ fabric top ensures optimum grip.
T3 Matrix Bio-Kinetic Ortho-Impact Saddle Pad Inserts are included with the saddle designed for athletic performance and general schooling. Ortho-Impact Inserts are especially beneficial for stabilizing the saddle for riders needing more back support and compensating for horse conformation problems. The Ortho-Impact Inserts feature a 3/8" layer of high-density Extreme Pro Poron® XRD™ foam to minimize concussion over a 1/2" layer of medium density viscoelastic foam offering stabilizing support for both horse and rider.

CoolBack® synthetic fleece contains a special combination of resilient polyester fibers and durable denier to provide the best in recovery over long-term use and washing as well as concussion protection, air circulationconformationand moisture/heat management.
WoolBack® virgin knit-wool fleece is resilient, durable pile material offering superior moisture wicking and heat dispersal with high breathe-ability, concussion protection and comfort. WoolBack fleece is natural white in color.
Linear Quilt ETC™ Fabric provides a non-slip, anti-friction surface for a secure and stable saddle position while the linear quilt pattern passes moisture and heat readily through the lightweight batting creating exceptional heat dispersal and breathability.
Poron® XRD™ with Microban® antimicrobial protection is high performance open-cell foam that absorbs 90% of impact energy from the rider and saddle on the horses back, as well as minimizing the energy bounce back as the rider lands in the saddle; thus, allowing for a more stable, comfortable seat for both horse and rider. The supporting layer of medium density viscoelastic foam offers additional cushioning protection without restricting range of motion.
Ergonomic Design features inserts with a longer front to complement the natural contour of the horse's shoulder to provide a custom fit that supports muscle development without interfering with important muscle groups.

Comments:This is the pad to end all pads!! I love it!! I had a very difficult time fitting my horse with a saddle. Once I got that problem solved I still had issues with the pad itself [other pads]. I had two issues. One, the pad constantly fed its way out from under the back of the saddle. I almost lost it completely on one particularly hilly ride! Two, my short backed horse would get a sore back after a long ride mostly in the loin area. This was caused from the saddle/pad 'sloshing' back and forth in the loin area. I went down the proverbial rabbit hole on the internet and researched every pad out there. Haf, Skito, Equipedic, you name it. Probably one of the most helpful things I found on this site was the product video on this pad. It even compared many of the common pad materials for shock asborbtion and rider bounce. I was sold after seeing that. The pad has everything I was looking for. It has a non-slip surface, it has keepers, it has the inserts, it is easy to clean. What more could I ask for? "A horse without a sore back I hear you say". Done!!! My horse has not had any issues since buying this pad. No slippage, no soreness. It is my perfect pad. Toklat really outdid themselves on this one. Thank you so much!
