Product Details

Dimensions: 28" Tall x 22" Wide x 9" Deep with 2" Wide Grid Openings

Capacity: 10-12 lbs

Design & Function:

The NibbleNet® Hay Bag is an excellent choice for horses suffering from feed-related health issues, such as laminitis or obesity. The structure of the poly webbing grid prevents horses from gulping down big mouthfuls and instead encourages one-bite-at-a-time eating. Slowing the "grazing" down optimizes digestion and keeps the horse busy for much longer, preventing boredom and the development of bad habits such as chewing or cribbing -- an ideal solution for horses that do not have much turn out time.

A heavy-duty poly webbing strap is included with each bag, and additional NibbleNet® Straps can be purchased if necessary. Two sets of heavy duty stainless steel D-rings make hanging the back from a wall or fence easy while also allowing easy and secure closure of the top, preventing the horse from pulling hay from the top. Additional D-Rings at the bottom corners allow for additional attachment or security along a fence or in a trailer.

Materials & Construction:

The undeniable quality of construction and heavy duty outdoor materials make the NibbleNet® far superior to any similar hay bags on the market. The back and sides are constructed from ultra heavy duty 22 ounce vinyl designed to stand up to harsh elements. With superior tear, puncture and abrasion resistance, this material also boasts excellent UV and weather protection with a -40 degree rating!

The exclusive 2" poly webbing grid is custom-woven to ensure ultimate strength without sacrificing flexibility - this webbing will not get stiff or hard even after years of use. A tight weave resists dirt and moisture absorption, keeping the material free of rot or mildew and prevents shrinking or stretching. Commercial glue and additional stitching reinforcements ensure longevity, even against the toughest of horses!

The best hay bag! After my mare had colic surgery, we needed to have her use a hay bag indefinitely. This has been the best option for durability and easy filling. The only things I don't like are the hanging strap clips; they tend to not last long, and I've replaced them with carabiner clips.

Comments: Very durable and large bag that holds lots of grass or alfalfa hay. Not the easiest to load grass hay but not the worst either. This one at least has some structure to it compared to the "traditional" hay bags. I would 100% recommend this bag to anyone who has a horse that gets crazy during feeding and wants a bag that won't get stiff and break in inclement weather.

Comments: When I was researching hay nets, I went to the NibbleNet website and read the story of how and why they were made. It convinced me to try the product. I had won a coupon for the Riding Warehouse at a local show and was happy to see they sold NibbleNets since they are a little expensive. I bought a few to use with timothy and Bermuda so my horses would always have hay available even if I worked late or wanted to sleep in on the weekend. I am very pleased with my purchase. Hay waste has been reduced to a small amount of stems scattered about compared to before, when they would trample a good flake or more per day into the mud or dirt when using tub feeders. NibbleNets are sturdy and well made. I've been using them for over a year. All through the winter rain and hot summer sun, the only wear is a small discoloration on the back where the vinyl rubs on the fence. They are easy to fill and with the small openings their hay will last all day. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality slow feeder.

Comments: I am so happy with this purchase. I take this hay bag with me everywhere! It is so well-made and is great quality material. Will be using this for years to come.

Comments: Love our nibble net --- we take it to every endurance ride. It works great in ride camp to keep hay from being wasted.

Comments: My horses were pulling all the hay out of they hay bags when I was hauling them which not only left them without hay for long trips, it made a terrible mess in the trailer with wasted hay. The nibble net has made it so they now eat all the hay they are given without wasting any. I didn't have any problem with anyone learning to use the net. One of the horses gives the nibble net a real beating and it has really held up well. Overall, I am very pleased with the nibble net. Now I am thinking about how well the would work in the stalls....

Comments: I use 8 - 10 bags/day to feed my 4 horses, 4 of the bags are NibbleNets. They work perfectly hanging in trees around the property. I only feed once a day and these bags make it last... they just nibble and play all day.

Comments: Great, high quality product...at first glance they seem "pricey" but are very well made when compared to other bags we've purchased over the years. We have three of them and use them when we travel and camp weekends for Competitive Trail Rides. The bags have tie straps w/snaps at each end so you can secure them to your trailer top and bottom. This really helps with the bags flying around during feeding. The hay openings are perfect for allowing a horses to eat slowly without wasting a lot of hay. The bags hold quite a bit of hay, about 3.5 blocks/wafers from a small bale. They're very easy to refill while mounted on the trailer. We feed burmuda grass hay and in a 24 hour period we'll fill the bags approximately 3 times. I would recommend these to a friend.

Comments: I have four of these and on average they last a few years. After awhile the webbing does get somewhat shredded from teeth but can still be used. Just trim off with scissors. They do cut way down on hay waste and slow down the horses. I have two draft crosses. I fill two large nibble nets with 10-12 lbs of hay for the night and it keeps them busy for some time. I fill two smaller ones for afternoon hay. Definitely use the clips at the bottom to secure to the wall and keep it from flipping around. They work well, but don't last forever...but what does???
