Jolly Mega Ball Instructions & Care Guide

How to Inflate

  1. Remove white plug from hole in ball. Hold on to this plug, as you will need it after inflation is complete.
  2. Use an air compressor, but do so with caution. Pump up your ball, and using a yardstick or other measuring device, inflate the ball to the intended manufactured diameter (found on box). Place white plug in hole.

How to Introduce your Horse to the Jolly Mega Ball

  1. Begin with your horse on a very long lead. Make sure that you keep the lead safe in hand in case the horse spooks. It is not recommended to introduce the ball to your horse in a stall; please do so in a round pen, pasture, or indoor arena. The point is that you make sure there is enough room for your horse to back away should the horse spook at the ball.
  2. It may take several attempts for your horse to warm up to the ball. Let the horse smell the ball. Be sure you stay in front and to the side of the horse with the ball so they can back away if need be. Begin walking with the horse and ball, slowly rolling the ball in front of you.
  3. Once the horse is comfortable, begin slowly bouncing the ball off the ground while walking. Make sure you are a safe distance in front of the horse with the ball. Judge on how high you should bounce the ball by your horse's reaction from the low bouncing.
  4. NEVER roll the ball underneath your horse's stomach. When your horse is sound and has accepted the ball, remove their halter and lead. To encourage play, make sure you are a safe distance away from the horse and roll the ball toward the middle of the ring.

Ball Care

  • The longer you can keep your ball inflated the longer it will last. Deflating and then re-inflating causes the ball to stretch out and become weak. To help further protect your ball, use a cover (sold separately).
  • When not in use, please store ball indoors at room temperature. The sun's UV rays will cause the ball to break down over time.
  • If you follow the care instructions for your ball, it should last years.
  • Do not allow ball to be played with by sharp objects. Your ball is anti-burst and made extra tough for a horse, but not to be used around sharp objects.

PLEASE NOTE: Not inflating to a specific height will hinder the strength of the ball. Also, balls should not be used with more than one horse, unless supervised. The Mega Balls can withstand most normal play with one horse, but cannot always handle double the trouble. Please use in an environment that is clear of exposed nails or any other objects that might puncture the ball during horseplay.

one use only!My horse LOVED this ball! But after only one use (with the cover) it won't hold air. We can't find a hole in the ball anywhere. We ordered a second one because our horse had so much fun with it and we had the exact same issue. I am very disappointed because these aren't cheap.

Previous Feedback

Comments: I though this would be fun for my horse and also great for training. My horse licked it a few times and was done with it. However, it is great for desensitizing or trail training work. Happy I bought it and it has held up great even without a cover.
