The dense wool is constructed from a high-loft, dense 1 1/4" long wool on a fabric backing providing an anatomically correct top line with E.A. Mattes' exclusive Spine-Free® technology along the spine, allowing maximum spine clearance. This wool pad can be placed directly on your horse's back - it is naturally anti-microbial, will wick moisture, and is easy to wash. The included MELP® detergent is specifically designed to clean the wool for maximal durability ride after ride!

Comments: I have a 15.2 QH/Draft that goes in an XW dressage saddle (17.5''). The large fits her perfectly. This pad stays in place. Haven't washed it yet. It's dirty but it's the pad I grab every time because it doesn't shift. Definitely worth the buy.
