Overview
With a large capacity and durable construction, the Cashel Mesh Hay Manger is a perfect choice for all-day events or longer feeding periods. Holding up to five large flakes of hay, this hay manger can be easily loaded from the top and then secured shut with adjustable nylon straps with side-release buckles. The full mesh construction allows dirt and debris to fall through the sides and bottom, preventing unhealthy buildup on the interior of the manger.
The front opening is large enough to allow multiple horses to feed from, and the top can be adjusted open enough for top feeding as well! Heavy-duty nylon straps make this hay manger easy to hang from a stall, fence or pipe corral and are strong enough to endure the rough attacks from hungry horses.

Comments: I bought this hay bag to make wetting hay down for my horse with heaves easier. It serves its purpose very nicely; the mesh material allows the water to travel and drain freely and the bars make loading easy. I found the number of flakes it to hold to be fairly accurate, depending on how much they were fluffed. Its biggest problem is a lack of durability due to the mesh material. It tore out of the nylon webbing down one side at 4-5 months (due to a single rough incident). I sewed it back up and continued to use it. However, about a month later, one of the plastic pipes at the top had worn through the mesh corner - not so easy to fix with a sewing machine. I may well buy it again due to the price point and suitability for my particular need, but I do wish that the top corners were reinforced.

Comments: I am really picky when it comes to hay mangers and bags. This one is great for my mare who is kind of neat and clean! Holds well over two flakes of hay and allows her to rummage a bit. Still in great shape. I need more of these.

Comments: I really liked this hay bag, as it's super easy to put 2 flakes of hay in without the usual struggle that I have with classic hay nets. I also liked how easy it was to attach to a pipe corral, however it only lasted 3 months before my horse broke a buckle and zipped it. :( I know nothing with horses lasts forever, but I was hoping for more than 3 months of use.
