Simply apply, wet or dry, secure with some CoFlex Self Adhesive Vet Wrap Bandage, and use duct tape, or a soaking boot to help your horse get better - faster.
Commonly used to manage abscesses, these poultice pads can help decrease the time your horse spends suffering with an abscess that won't surface. Directions for cold or hot, wet and dry poulticing are included on the packaging.

Comments: I was able to find the big pad at my local shop (since as usual when you need them, you won't have any on hand and scramble everywhere to find them). I cut that one into equal rectangle pieces to use on my horses hooves to help draw out deep abcesses that we found via xrays (you can see gas pockets on the film). Wet the Pad, apply to hoof, add diaper, vet wrap and put into a cloud boot. Change every twelve hours. Abcess will pop quicker than soaking :). I now have a few packages on hand just in case I ever need them again.

Comments: These poultice pads are incredible! They are easy to use and work quickly (usually within 24hrs) to draw a hoof access. I recently tried one on my dog who had a painful, swollen paw. After a day in a poultice "booty", a cheatgrass seed erupted from his paw pad and he was bounding around like normal - it saved us a trip to the vet!
